I created a presentation in pps format that has background music that plays continously while all slides transition. It works great on the computer that it is created on with the music files. I want to be able to email this pps file but the music does not go with the file. I increased the size of "link embeded files greater than" to the max of 50000. My sound file is only 2.4MB. How do I get this to work.? I have received presentations by email that are larger and have music b ackgrounds.

LarryW,
powerpoint will only ’embed’ .wav files (not mp3s, aiffs, midis etc).
You need to re-insert the .wav file after you have upped your ""link embeded files greater than" setting. Using "insert > music > from file" in powerpoint.
if you will be emailing your presentation you really need to try ways of making your music file smaller. One quick fix is to convert it from stereo to mono, halving it’s size instantly.
To do this you will need an audio editor
This one happens to be both free and very good

There are also other tricks you can do to wav files to make them even smaller, such as change the bit rate.
