Thank you – I got the job

Thank you so much – I had to do a semi-professional 15 minute presentation
in my second language (English) and spent hours and hours trolling the internet for valuable advice.
Of all the advice you gave us (use pictures,
rule of three…) I found practise, practise and practise again
most helpful. I practised for myself and in front of a really
scary audience (my neighbours, and my boyfriend…), and
I got the job!!

It felt so good to be chosen on the basis of my presentation,
because I got grounded for nearly every presentation I had
to do at the University (I tend to speak too fast, especially when I’m nervous)
One professor, very helpfully, told me I would get myself kicked out of
every job interview if I continued to give presentations like this.
Now I will remember to practise more until I feel completely
safe and I will never be quite as scared of public speaking again.
