Powerpoint can't read my file?

I just spent over 3 hours working on a school project presentation. Then I closed the file and transferred over to another computer on my home network. I then tried reopening it on the original computer it was created on, and it gives me an error that says, "Powerpoint cant' read c:/WINDOWS/desktop/welcome.ppt which is the name of my file. I also tried opening it on the other computer and I get the exact same error.

But when I select the file on a list to open it, it shows the preview so the information is definitely still there! I need help please!

What version of Windows are you running on (on both computers)? Do you have a file on a CD - can you open the file by right clicking then renaming and copying to another location? HTH Bernard

Your powerpoint file gor corrupted and it needs to be repaired. You can use Kernel Powerpoint as it repairs corrupted powerpoint files. kernel Powerpoint is the best tool that I've tried as it allows you to see the repaired files.

Thanks
