Powerpoint Red Cross error

Can you help me?

I have a 50 page PowerPoint file containing both text and images. When I re-open the file after saving - on certain pages the images have been replaced by red crosses or swapped with other images in the presentation.

How do I resolve this problem?

I have exactly the same problem! And not any answer yet!

Same problem here. Excellent porting job...

I've seen this a few times and it seems to be something do with the file format - often with a bitmap.

What I typically would do is to right click and save the picture as a jpeg, then delete the slide and make a new slide with the imported jpeg.

I'm not sure this is the best way to do it, but it works for me.

I found that by turning off the fast saves option solved the problem for me [after much gnashing of teeth!].
Go to Tools/Options/Save, and then uncheck the 'Allow fast saves' box.
This worked for me: I hope it does for you!
