convert ppt to DVD keeping movies

Hi guys, hope someone can help here with this wee prob, I have a ppt presentation that has imbeded movies through it, which all work good as gold, but I would like to convert this to DVD format, now thats not a problem there is a lot of software out there that can do this successfully but I cannot seem to get any of this software to preserve my movie files that are in the slide show, they always seem to just run the slides and not allow the movies to run through. I have come up with a tempory solution for this which may get a few laughs it goes something like this

1 play ppt through vcr to tv while recording
2 once recorded re capture to pc using video capture device
3 compress and write to DVD*
4 now ppt can be played on standard DVD player


only drawbacks are it's time comsuming and of course the quality leaves a bit to be desired, which of course is a real problem.

Hi Zeus i too have that problem, i inserted a movie/video file into my powerpoint pres. It plays well in media player, power DVD etc but once i convert the presentation to DVD, i only get the audio from the movie and not the video. Please someone must be able to help out!!!! Or if you have found a way please let me know. Cos yeah the temporary fix is way too much!
