Compere a Convention

Hi,

I have to compere a convention - and the listeners are doctors and students who are studying pharmacy. I am in need for a good opening, few one liners in between while compeering and also a good ending quote for the whole event. I don't know how to go about framing interesting lines that keep the audience engaged. It'll be great if I could get few thoughts on this. I have to do a demo by Saturday.
