Default PowerPoint compression software

If you find the file size of your presentations is too large, it is probably because as you add pictures to your powerpoint presentations the file size increases dramatically.

A great solution to this problem is a small piece of software called NXP Lite http://www.nxpowerlite.com/

I have been using it for the past three years and it has saved me a lot of heartache. It can usually reduce a 6MB file down to under 1.4MB.

You can download a free trial version which is usually good enough to get you through a tight patch, but at £16 it is hardly likely to break the bank.

Be careful though - on the highest compression ratios you will start to notice a small deterioration in the image quality. If you use nortmal compression it will usually be a high enough quality level.

I've found this presentation optimizer to also be very useful.

Default Powershrink

Hi there,

I used nxpowerlite for quite a long time. unfortunately it takes some time
to compress the presentation. www.powershrink.com gives an alternative programm. I like it more because it is faster and compresses better.

the gui could be nicer but it is ok.

maybe it is of interest
