Recording my presentation to a CD

Hi, I hope you can help me. I have a power point presentation completed and I want to record it to a CD so I can send it to a friend and he can simply drop it into his computer and watch the exact presentation as it was produced...how do I do that? I have Camtasia recorder but all I get is a mash of pictures frame by frame. There is also sound to this 5 minute presentation and I need that to record along with the prez. It is embedded into the second frame and plays throughout.

The big question is - Are you able to burn CDs normally?

If you can, then the problem is that any video and sound clips are not being embedded. In which case you will need to copy the sound and the movie clips onto the CD - in the same directory. PowerPoint does not embed Video and for sound it will only embed it if it is a small file size.

You can get large sound files to be embedded by selecting Tools> Options > General and changing "Link sound with file size greater than" to a value greater than the audio file size.

The other thing that may be causing a mash of pictures is that animation effects work very differently in PowerPoint XP (versions 2002 and 2003) to the older PowerPoint versions.

If you can't then you will need to check that your system has a CD- RW drive, the right drivers and a CD recording packacge such as Roxio Direct CD.
