If you find the file size of your presentations is too large, it is probably because as you add pictures to your powerpoint presentations the file size increases dramatically.
A great solution to this problem is a small piece of software called NXP Lite http://www.nxpowerlite.com/
I have been using it for the past three years and it has saved me a lot of heartache. It can usually reduce a 6MB file down to under 1.4MB.
You can download a free trial version which is usually good enough to get you through a tight patch, but at £16 it is hardly likely to break the bank.
Be careful though – on the highest compression ratios you will start to notice a small deterioration in the image quality. If you use nortmal compression it will usually be a high enough quality level.
