presentation on motivation of staff

I have to do a 10 min interview presentation on 3/4 on how I would motivate staff who appear to be underachieving. Got the general idea of what to say but has anyone got any ideas on how to make it more memorable and how on earth do I say how I would keep staff motivated with out repeating myself??????

A good way to be memorable is to discuss how you understand how difficult it is for people to change, you understand that it is easy to slip into old ways.....Get them to fold their arm normally, then ask them to fold them the opposite way. Its not easy. If you asked them to fold their arms in ten minutes, they would fold them the way they always did!
You could relate this to motivation by saying that you will create meaning for the under performers as you understand that this is important for them to 'buy in' to what you are saying and what is expected of them.......

Hope this helps, its just a good way to get a message across and get participation!
