Powerpoint slides - file size too large

I am creating a powerpoint slideshow which contains images and sound. The file ends up to be like 0ver 10MB and running slow.

Is there any way where i can create several slideshow files and combine them to run one after another?

Appreciate some responses from the experts.

I dont like to link shows together...that can create other issues.
Have you confirmed that all images are appropriately compressed to a small file size?

How about your audio files, are they wav or mp3 or what? can it be compressed?

PPTminimizer

Have you tried PPTminimizer to shrink down your big PPT?

Best way to minimize PPT file size

Large file size is almost always due to oversized pictures in the file (since most audio and video files should be linked externally). Follow this quick process to minimize the size of your pictures without losing any quality:

Double click on a picture or piece of art in your file.
Under the tab "picture" click on the "compress" button.
Change the resolution to "Web/screen" and click ok.

Make sure that your pictures and art are sized on the screen exactly how you want them to display before doing this. This process will optimize the picture for its current application.

Also look at using mp3 music instead of wav as they can be 80% smaller. You can convice PPT that they are still wavs and embed them if you want.
Embed mp3 in PowerPoint
