How to sell your self?

Hello everyone,

I have just graduated and I have my firt presentation on the 29th June that has to be 3 minutes long. In the presentation I have to sell my self and convince the employers on why they should pick me. The role is for a position in sales in one of the top banks.

I would realy appreciate it if anyone could come up with ideas on how to start this presentation and the kinds of things I could say. The presentation must have a introduction, mainbody and conclusion. As it is only 3 minutes long I am very short of time so everything I say must be to my benefit and I will be competing with many other candidates who will also be present there. I can do with all the help I can get.

First of all the key I think is not to come off cocky but confident. If who you are presenting to see's you're confident even though you may be nervous than they will probably receive a good impression of you.



In your introduction, you should politely introduce yourself and a few personal things such as your age and maybe where you might have attended school.

In your body, you should pretty much state your qualifications. What you can do and how you think they would beneifit from all your qualifications.

In your conclusion I think you should state why you may be the best candidate and state you trust their decisions.

Remember who, what where when and why and how.
Who you are, what you want to achieve within the company, where your going to achieve this...why did you choose this company?, when you are going to do this...example, once you receive that job, why you are a good candidate and how your going to achieve success within that company if you are hired.

So for example if I was giving a presentation on myself to the Bell South Company to get a job I would say something like...

Hi my name is ___________________________, I'm ____ years old, I attented ________________school and graduated with_______________. I would like to worth with Bell South because___________________. I feel that if I worked with this company that _____________________. If I am am hired, this is when __________________________. I am a good candidate for the job not only because ___________________ but _________________________. I am glad I have had the opportunity to try and obtain this position and I trust that you will make the best decision in choosing a candidate. Thank you for this oppurtunity once again.....

To make yourself sound good when giving a interview, talk as if your getting the job, not as if your not sure your going to get the job, that means try not to use the word "IF" because it make it sound as if your kinda doubting yourself, and thats the last thing u want them to think, so instead of IF us "WHEN".
