Using Humour in Training Presentations

Help!
Have less than 24 hours to prepare for a 15 minutes presentation on "Using Humour in Training Presentations".
The presentation is part of an interview for a training post.
How should I prepare for this?
What "Humour" can I use?

The safest quickest way is to add in a cartoon

There are a range of very good cartoons avaiable from Ted Goff
http://www.newslettercartoons.com/index.html They are reasonably inexpensive at $35 per use (around £20) and can add in some humour.

The other easy use of homour is to tell an amusing anecdote about some of your experiences. It all really depends if you have an amusing anecdote.

The othe - somewhat higher risk - possibility is to tell a joke. The problem comes in finding a suitabel one for your audience. I have tried typing "Training Jokes" into Google but nothing immediately obvious came up.

I hope that this helps

Hi

I'm sorry if this reply is a bit late but it might help anyone else.

A touch of humor that I like to add right a the beginning of training sessions is to do the following:
*Tell your audience that you will start off with a little gentle execise to get their blood flowing and the oxygen circulating ready to learn!
*Next tell your audience to stand and ask them to spread their arms out to their sides (making a T shape with their body).
*Then ask them to bring their hands together -palm to palm and quickly back to the side to that T shape again.
*Repeat the move 10 times and then when they have done this you would say "Well, I don't know how you all feel but I feel great - It's not often i get a standing ovation before I've even started the session!!"
This usually gets a fews laughs when the penny drops!

have fun!

Using humour in training

I am doing a training session on using humour in training. Does anyone have ideas on a humourous way to begin? or anything which help?
The below ideas have already been used by a colleague but they sound good!
