Using Powerpoint for flipboard function

Does anyone have ideas about how to use powerpoint slide view for adding text as when using a flip chart? In some of my presentations I would like to ask the audience for responses and type it on the slide for everyone to share and discuss. As far as I am aware, this cannot be done while on the slide view function. May be I am naive. Does anyone know whether powerpoint supports this function, and if so, how could it be done?

On the slide, I think you can add a textbox from the "Control Toolbox" (not the textbox from the "Drawing toolbar").

Then when you’re showing the presentation, I think you can click in the textbox and type in it. The reason I found this out is because I’m trying to make it so you don’t have to click in the textbox first, but so far I haven’t figured it out yet.

You can enter a textbox (using the "Control" toolbar and not the "Drawing" toolbar) on your slide. Then when you’re showing the presentation, you can click in the textbox and type in it.
