I solved one of my earlier problems by updating to Office XP but I seem to have encountered a new problem. First of all I created an animated slide show with sound clips for my small business that I wish to post on our website. Here’s the problem:

After I published the presentation as a webpage and viewed in my browser I found 2 problems I wish to correct if anyone has the answer.

1. I’ve set the slides for automatic transistion and most of them do but they take longer than I set them for and they are not smooth transistions and a couple of them cut short and go to the next slide. Along with that the animations are slow and jerky. One of them don’t change at all without a physical click, (either mouse or spacebar).

2. When the slide opens it always starts twice before it completes it’s actions. I am using music clips on each slide and one of them doesn’t play at all in the HTML version. This is also the slide that requires a physical transistion (mouse or spacebar click).

Also one more topic I need an answer to: How do I actually put the presentation to be accessable on the website?

Thanks in advance for any helpful hints.

On the first one it sounds like your PC is running out of memory. I would double check your memory, clear out some space and then defrag your hard disk. Through the control panel I would delete all programmes that are not necessary.

This would probably help the programme to run more smoothly.

Html

Ok Doctor, I did all of that and the problem persists. I’ve got 1gb of ram and a high speed computer with a Pentium D processor as well as high speed internet connection, so should have plenty of memory and everything else I need for this to work, especially when I’ve rebooted and I try to run the HTML version and not run any other programs or applications at the same time. I’ve also saved it as a PPS version and it works fine on Internet Explorer. So I don’t understand why the HTML file does what it does…

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. My work season is approaching and I’d like to get this operable before the end of the month.

Thanks,
The Teleman
