10 minute job presentation by video conf.

Hello! I have just been asked to do a 10 minute presentation on any topic for a Regional Training Managers position and I was curious if you had any best practices for how to approach this, especially since I am on one side of the country and they are on the other. We will be doing the interview by video conference and among other things I am unsure of how to approach the visuals situation since I am unsure of how they will be seen on video. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!

My experience is that visuals are really important by video conference. The real trick is to make the visuals large and really simple.

On many video conferences the secrets are preparation. Send a copy of your slides several days in advance. The safest bet is to print them out and send them in advance on paper (use a good quality paper). You can also email the slides a day or two before. Double check to make sure that they have them before the conference.

That way you don't have to worry so much as to what will display on the screen.

Also if possible have a check to see if you can get a chance to practice on the equipment.
