voice control

Hi Doc, I have bit of a problem. I would like to make my voice deeper, especially when i make public speeches. When i get nervous especially it just goes really high. I was wondering if you have any tips, or any exercises i can do to make it deeper

There seem to be two main things that can help your voice.

The first is breathing. You may be able to find some breathing exercises at http://www.vocalist.org.uk/breathing_exercises.html

We also have a few voice tips on the site

If you want to make your voice deeper, just practice. Just pretend to speak with a deeper voice. Practice whenever you get a chance and do it in front of a video camera. Do it when you go out for a walk. Try it when you buy something from the shops. It'll be easy if you try. Before too long you will be able to speak with a deeper voice.

I hope that this helps.
