job interview presentation

I have a job interview as part of an assessment day soon, and i am required to carry out a presentation, topic of my choice, for 15 mins. resources available include a flip chart and over head projector.
any advice would be great
ps. i have broken my writing hand, so any tips on how to get around this / use to my advantage in any way??

There are usually three main tips that I would suggest

1. Use the rule of three - pick three main messages that you would like your audience to remember

2. Use visuals (pictures to convey your message) In trials at UCLA they did experiments with presenting using bullet points and presenting with pictures. After three days the audiences , on average only remembered 10% of the bullet points, but 50% of the images. That could make all the difference to getting the job. If you have broken your writing hand, get your images printed out onto big sheets of card - with some large text titles. Get a friend to help you with this in advance.

3. Practice - Speak your presentation out loud at least four times - one of which should be in front of a real audience, friends family etc. You could also try videoing it - or using a tape recorder.
