Audience Participation

I have a 20 minute presentation to do on a drug called Dexamethasone (a steroid used for premature labour to help the babies lungs to develop before they are born).
I need to involve the audience in this presentation but have no idea how do do this....
I have thought about having a "brain storm" but this is something that the 19 other people in the seminar will be doing for their presentation.... I need something different

Any ideas gratefully received!

Having a "brain storm" is a great idea to get ideas out and to formulate a strategy. I do it a lot in my workshops - howver I do normally have a whole day to explore the findings and present back.

In a presentation doing a brain storm may be rather high risk.

A good idea may be to present in the

- problem
- solution
- benefit
- real evidence

formula. This often works well in presenting medicines (I have worked on presentations with four drugs companies). The real trick is to keep the presentation visual and to use at least one picture per slide. I would imagine that there will be a lot of images about your subject.

Don't forget that a presentation is all about stories and there will be a lot of stories to tell about unborn babies. Some happy, some sad, but all stories that would do well to be told. At the end of the day presentations evolved from a very old tradition of telling stories.

Have started to work on the presentation in the suggested format.

Am still struggling to involve the audience though, it has to be active participation or we get marked down for not involving them.
In a previous presentation for example I had the auidence join in the Haka for a Maori culture presentation. I need something as direct as this to involve them, any ideas?
