My husbands funeral

He died this week following a brain tumour. He was young, handsome and funny, and I need a fitting poem for his funeral.
He enjoyed a beer, and was a regular drinker at the local pub, so I'd ideally like something along those lines, but can't find anything! I think I once read something which compared life to a half empty beer glass, but I can't for the life of me find it now!
If anyone knows it, or can suggest anything else that might be suitable I'd be eternally grateful.
His funeral is the last thing I can do for him, and I don't want to let him down.
