Presentation Interview

Dear Doctor

I am having an interview for the position of a Team Manager and I have to prepare the presentation about myself (10 minutes). Why should I be recruited into this role & what will I bring to the team?

Any suggestions?

Were there specific things you were looking for help on?

If you are looking for ideas on the structure and content I would suggest that you show examples of how you have been able to demonstrate some of the qualities for the job.

So if you are going for a job as a team manager I would suggest that you give examples of how you have managed a team of people or how you have managed a project (at work or in your private life). Make sure that you talk on something that was successful for you.

The other suggestions are to use visual slides and to make sure that you properly rehearse.

Thanks for your e-mail. I would like to use some visual slides. I have asked my current staff to describe me in a couple of words and they came with :

Results driven, organized, problem solving skills, analytical thinker, reliable, responsible

Any ideas what visual slides I could use to express above?

Two main options

1. a. Use a picture of yourself - if you have a digital camera this would be easy to get into the presentation and surround the picture with the captions "Results driven, organized, problem solving skills, analytical thinker, reliable, responsible"

b. If you would like a humourous approach take pictures with you in the
attributes.
e.g. You hold a cup for results driven, you look well dressed for organized, you look serious for responsible etc

2. Use more common pictures for the captions - try these
• Results driven - footballer scoring a goal
• Organized - a personal organizer (filofax) 0r
• Problem solving skills - a crossword or number game
• Analytical thinker - Rodin's statue the thinker
• Reliable - a picture of an old person's hands - or a caption saying 99.9% or reliable
• Responsible - a picture of a man holding a baby

Hi guys i have a 5-10 minute standing up presentation i was thiking what ideas you can give me im not sure if i can infact use powerpoint not sure of the facitlity has a viewing area. So any other ideas or what kinda ideas do yo uhave that i can use for powerpoint incause i prepare 2 seperate presentations. Any tips would be greatly greatly appreciated i have to compare The company im applying for to 1 of 4 of there major leading competitors. Ok guys i hope i can get a response.
